Cattail Crossing Pond. This is a great place to connect with nature in the greater area of Pueblo West, which is a super community in southern Colorado. This little oasis is perfect for walking, bicycling and meeting nice people. The state of the art xeriscape garden is managed and cared for by the Pueblo West Women's League consisting of both women and men. You can walk through the garden that has trails that weave through all various plants and trees that have markers and information. The group meets every Friday morning to volunteer their time to groom and clean the prized garden that has received lots of recognition. You’re invited. Many birds and waterfowl roost and swim all around the small lake. Air traffic control would be helpful, sometimes. Hundreds of Canadian geese fly in and out mostly during migration season during January and February. Honking and splashing in the water at each end of the pond. Fishing is a popular pastime, too. Colorado Nature Landscape Photographer Mixed Media Digital Art ~ I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and become interested in photography while attending Colorado University. I used a camera that a good friend had given to me to capture ideas for art classes that I attended. I decided to take my 35 mm analog camera while I hiked the various places in the Colorado Rockies. Someone once asked me to sell them a mountain scene that I captured and I was so flattered I framed it and gave it to them. I enjoy nature and love the outdoors.
